My Approach & Training

I have a down-to-earth & whole-hearted approach to supporting you. I have over 1000 hours of training in mind-body approaches, a post-graduate qualification in education and over 13 years of teaching experience.

I trained to teach mindfulness through Mindfulness UK's Level 4 accredited course which emphasized the transformative practice of cultivating mindful self-compassion. I'm currently  training in Effortless (Nondual) Mindfulness with Loch Kelly.

I create authentic spaces where you can feel safe to be yourself, having developed deep listening skills through study with expert relational mindfulness teacher Deborah Eden Tull. I'm also a certified transpersonal coach and trained in core counselling skills which enables me to support you more deeply on an individual basis.

My Yoga Teacher Training was in a particularly mindful style (the lineage of TKV. Desikachar), and over the years I've explored other mindful, somatic approaches to functional movement, delving into the innate wisdom and healing capacity of our bodies. This includes training in the nervous system and polyvagal theory - reducing stress and building resilience by supporting the body's natural ability to regulate and heal. My holistic approach can be tailored to support you, wherever you find yourself on your journey.

As an eternal student, I'm committed to deepening my own practice which informs my teaching. I adhere to high ethical mindfulness & coaching standards, I have a well-established daily practice and attend regular supervision sessions. I participate in retreats, workshops and courses, ensuring a continual journey of growth.  I'm trauma-sensitive and neurodivergent affirming.

My Story

Beyond my training, my lived experience is what really enables me to support you deeply. I have a busy mind and a sensitive heart - I  know what it's like to suffer from stress, anxiety and overwhelm. I turned to mindfulness and yoga as a lifeline about 16 years ago, while navigating the loss of my mum and the challenges of being a primary teacher. These transformative practices have been my anchor through life's various challenges, including relocating across the world and becoming a parent. My daily practice continues to offer vital support and deepening insights.

My own journey involves exploring healing and growth through modalities like psychotherapy, somatic work, parts work (IFS) and transpersonal approaches, leading to a continual deepening of self-awareness.

I have a passion for relational mindfulness — reconnecting with ourselves, others, and the living world.  I'm aware of the severity of the climate crisis and related crises, and I'm an (imperfect!) advocate for collective change in these challenging times.

My influences include: Tara Brach, Deborah Eden Tull, Joanna Macy, Loch Kelly, Thich Nhat Hanh, Eckhart Tolle, Kristen Neff, Judith Blackstone, Lucy Grace and many more....

I hope to meet you soon!
